to include your daily food menu, progress, problems and dieting tips as much as you can. Also in your first post please include: Name, Age, Current weight, Goal weight, and the Reason for wanting to lose weight.

I'm new here.

Name: Connie
Current Weight: 132 this morning.. yikes. i'm only 5'2"
Goal weight: 115..I weighed 112 my junior year of high school. eventually 110 would be nice
reason for wanting to lose weight:
-to get my self-esteem back. and love myself again.. basically just feel better about myself.
-I also feel like.. before i get a boyfriend.. i need to love myself.. and in order for that to happen i need to lose this weight once and for all.
-getting a ton of new cute clothes.
-feeling comfortable with my body.. even when im naked
-my health.. my dad has diabetes. and that's something i definately dont want

Right now I'm back at college for my 2nd year.
I have been doing pretty good. Ive made sure to not stock up my fridge with a lot of stuff, because when i was at home this summer i would tend to compulsively overeat when i was depressed or bored.

I went to the gym today and worked out for 55 minutes. it felt sooo good.
Tomorrow i plan to go swimming there for a while. it'll be fun.

Hi all! Losing the weight is getting easier, as long as I can stay away from pizza and oreo cookies, but I still need more support.

I think I posted the link to my site here before, but it wasn't quite ready for the public eye at that point. I encourage all of you to pay us a visit again and check everything out.


I've been working hard on getting this all up and running, so I would appreciate it if you all could take a moment, check it out, and let me know what you think.

hi !! i just joined. my names Melody.
my friend & i are on the Pritikin Diet (simliar to The Zone, i think.)
& we're looking for recipes for lunch/snack/dinner
under 400 calories, low carb, low fat.
i'm a terrible cook with very little imagination & we're getting a bit sick of living off of toated sandwhiches and vegetables!

Age 16
Height: 5'3
Current weight: 138
Goal weight: 100ish
Reason for wanting to lose weight: To be skinnier and have for confidence, because I think it would make me be more bold and do more things.

I just started the whole low carb thing today!
Breakfast-one egg(scrambled) and one sausage- with milk
Snack- two carrot sticks- with water
Lunch- Soup
Snack- two BBQ battered chicken strips :(- with water
Dinner- grilled teriyaki chicken with a salad-with milk

Wow, that seems liken a lot! This diet is hard, I am a huge bread fan.

Can you eat wheat bread, because it has more carbs than white, but Atkins says its okay once in a while?

well, i can't even remembered if i've posted in here yet. but my weight is about 160 and i'm looking to go down about 30pounds. and i'm thinking of doing about 10pounds a month so its nice and slow and controlled. anyhoo..i've started pilates and i'm eating a lot healthier lately along with taking my water bottle everywhere with me. hooray for low carbs! i already feel less sluggish from eating less carbs. yay.

Okay here we go. It's Jan. 1st. I'm starting my diet again after I kinda let it fade off into the distance a few months ago. I lost 30lbs on my last diet and gained 5-10 back over the holidays. I'm hoping to lose even MORE weight than I gained. Wish me luck everyone!

its not that i want to LOSE weight as much as i want to be able to maintain it. i go up and down on the scale like its a pogo stick, and its driving me nuts...my mom got me started on the atkins a couple days ago, so im seeing how that goes.

i was just wondering...does anyone have any good, daily, low carb menus they'd care to share??

I thought I'd join too! My name is Alexis, I'm 5'2, and 15 years old.

Highest Weight- 147
Lowest Weight- 126
Current Weight- 135
Goal Weight- 115

I've done low carb before, that's how I got from 147 to 126, but I hit a plateu and gave up. I used to run, which I think I'm gonna start doing again. Eh I'm just sick of being called fat, so I decided to do something about it. What kind of exercises, besides running, does anyone recommend? I don't have much time, maybe only 2 or 3 days a week for about a half hour. I just realllllly want a flat tummy and smaller thighs.

I would assume I am around 125ish and I'm 5'11. My goal weight is 115. When I was 110 I looked gross since I'm tall and the weight distribuites itself. 115 would be idea. For about a week and a half I was great and now I'm back to eating loads of unhealthy foods. Tomorrow is a new day and tomorrow I will start again. I also am going to do my sit up routine starting tomorrow too. Today I had:

- cheese & tomaote sandwich with butter and salt
- 4 (deadly) lindor chocolates
- a bowl of chips
- handful of salted peanuts
- roasted chicken with salad... with some mayo. I won't lie.

Wow, this community is so fitting for what I've been trying to get back into the past few days. This summer, I did so great with dieting (Weight watchers, my aunt just gave me some of the books cause she quit, im not actually enrolled in the program) and excercising (Pilates and Walking/jogging) and I've lost about 20lbs or so and a few sizes. But since school started, it's all gone downhill since it's just so easy to eat all junk and theres not much time to work out, ect. =/

Anyway, I've been trying to get back into it all lately. It's just really hard to get back on track sometimes though, especially around christmas. So my plan and goals are: to go back to following the basic weight watchers guidelines (They've been working really well for me), drink a ton more water, perhaps eat less carbs since you really done need as much as I eat anyway lol, and get back into pilates tapes and try and fit in some cardio. :) My goal is basically to be more toned and obviously loose the weight thats keeping me from being toned haha! And of course to be healthier.

Current weight: 121
Goal weight: 110 maybe?

For the past almost 5 days now I've bee going great. Actually impressing myself. Then today after eating soup, crackers and such the boyfriend brings over... Mc Donalds. 1 cheese burger and fries later I'm feeling all warm inside and not too guilty since it was sort of like a mini reward for doing well. Then my friends and I go out... and we order 50 wings. I couldn't resist. I think I had 10. Now I want to die. Eww... tomorrow I'll get back on track.

So im starting tommorow and also doing pilates, i cant wait to start, one week my friend did pilates and she lost like a whole pant size and they look like something fun to do also! I cant wait to pick up the dvd tommorow, i have it on layaway.. have any of you ever done pilates?

lunch: some cold chicken and more salad, water

dinner: quarter chicken dinner, mixed steamed veggies, diet coke

I dont have a scale. That sucks. Now i cant even tell if i did lose any weight.
